Math teacher biography

I graduated in 1982 with a BS in Biology, but had been fortunate enough to pick up some computer skills out of which I made a career at UC Irvine until my retirement in 2020.

Now I want to be a math teacher for two key reasons: I sincerely enjoy teaching and I believe in the substantial and practical value of learning math.

I also have a very personal motivation.

I enjoy learning, but even more, I like sharing what I’ve learned. I’ve had many opportunities to teach over the course of my career and they have all been rewarding experiences.
