Napo masheane biography graphic organizer

Napo Masheane was born in Soweto, grew up in Qwaqwa (Free State). She has a Marketing Management and Speech & Drama Diploma. She is a playwright, poet, stage director & producer, teacher and acclaimed performer on both international and national stages.

Napo is a founding member of Feela Sista! Spoken Word Collective. In addition she is the nominee of the Daimler Chrysler South African Poetry Award in 2005, winner of Mbokodo theatre award 2012 and Pan African Language Award 2014. 

Her work credits includes, studding and working with the Market Theatre Foundation, Theater Siberia (Holland), University of Johannesburg, Joburg Theatre, (SABC), Fuba, University of California (Los Angeles), Jungel Theater in Germany, Farnebo College (Sweden), Theatre Under The Tree (Reunion Island), Royal Court Theatre (London), and the British Council.
